Professional Experience and Milestones

Early Training and Academic Background

Born in Isfahan, Iran, Arezoo began her formal music education at 18, studying under Korosh Ashegh before pursuing academic training. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Iranian Music from the University of Guilan, benefiting from the teachings of esteemed musicians such as Ardavan Kamkar, Aydin Aliansab, and Arfa Atrai.

Teaching and Mentorship

With a dedication to education, Arezoo began teaching santur while still a student, later expanding her role as a traveling instructor in Assaluyeh, South Iran, educating the families of oil company employees. Her teaching journey took her to new heights in Europe, where she earned a teaching certificate from Landesmusikakademie in Germany.

Orchestral Leadership

Arezoo founded and led the first all-women’s Iranian orchestra in Isfahan, showcasing the talents of female musicians and bringing the santur’s sounds into large ensemble settings.

Collaborations with Renowned Artists

She had the honor of learning directly from Mohammad Reza Lotfi, a legend of Iranian music, and was featured as a soloist on the album Zakhme-ye Saz with Shida Women’s Ensemble, where Lotfi composed a unique four-hammer santur piece specifically for her.

International Performances and Concerts

Her journey soon expanded internationally, with debut performances in the Netherlands and later invitations to Germany. She has since performed across numerous countries, including Turkey, Finland, Italy, Portugal, and Austria, partnering with notable musicians such as Murat Coşkun, with whom she released the album Vision, available in European markets.

Workshops and Cultural Outreach

In addition to her performances, Arezoo conducts workshops and music seminars that celebrate Iranian music and tradition. Her outreach has enriched audiences and aspiring musicians around the world, connecting them to the artistry of the santur.
